Christina Dahl qualified as a Pilates teacher Mat level 3 with Body Control Pilates in London. She is still a member and insured with their body and continue doing extended training regularly with them. Latest in Scoliosis and pregnancy.
Previous to working as a Pilates teacher she had a background as a chemical engineer and pharmacy technician in the pharmaceutical industry. It was after a traumatic postnatal experience and old sports injury of her knee, she came across Pilates, which her physiotherapist introduced to her. After 18 months on crutches and several operations she is now stronger then before pregnant thanks to Pilates. It has now become her passion to help people build up a strong core foundation, posture and move correctly. Preventing injuries or recover from any injuries. She thinks Pilates can benefit anyone and improve any other sports.
The style of her Pilates sessions is focused on precision movement in slow-flow–motion, working your core. There will be a lot of hands on correction. The sessions are one hour long and will start with a preparation phase, relaxing and warming up your muscles. Moving over to the main phase, which works your stamina through nice variations of postions, flexion, rotation, extension, and lateral flexion. Working all major joints of the body with focus of your posture and core. Finishing of with a closing phase.
